Educational units

The program includes 9 educational units

1

People, society, culture

This unit includes three groups of courses:

1) "Health and Safety"

2) "History", "Philosophy", "Regulatory support of professional activities";

3) "Fundamentals of linguistic mentality."

The unit "People, society, culture" aims to train teachers who possess all the required cultural and professional skills related to physical, social, legal, historical and cultural aspects of teaching.

Foreign Language

This unit is for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students who do not speak foreign langauge or whose level of proficiency is A1 (according to the The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). After completing the unit students are expected to obtain B1 level of proficiency.

Information Technology

After comleting the unit students are able to:

  • participate in development of main and additional educational programs,
  • develop separate components of educational programs (with the use of information and communication technologies),
  • apply modern information and communication technologies in educational and research activities.

Students take this unit in the second, third and sixth semesters.

Pedagogics and Psychology

The unit is developed for 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students and helps them to broaden their outlook and obtain the required skills in the sphere of psychology and pedagogics.

Russian as a foreign language (Levels: elementary and beginner)

Structure and sequence of disciplines inside the units contribute to the formation of students' ability to communicate in the context of intercultural cooperation and multicultural tolerance.

Our graduate is able to:

  • understand and interpret authentic texts of any topic,
  • write their own texts,
  • understand the contents of radio and television broadcasts, excerpts from films, television plays, radio plays, recordings of public speeches, etc.,
  • perceive socio-cultural and emotional characteristics of a person’s speech.

Units will provide students with knowledge of language system that includes language understanding and skills of using linguistic items and structural relationships.

Russian as a foreign language (Levels: pre-intermediate and intermediate)

Structure and sequence of disciplines inside the units contribute to the formation of students' ability to communicate in the context of intercultural cooperation and multicultural tolerance.

Our graduate is able to:

  • understand and interpret authentic texts of any topic,
  • write their own texts,
  • understand the contents of radio and television broadcasts, excerpts from films, television plays, radio plays, recordings of public speeches, etc.,
  • perceive socio-cultural and emotional characteristics of a person’s speech.

Structure and sequence of disciplines inside the units contribute to the formation of students' ability to communicate in the context of intercultural cooperation and multicultural tolerance.

Structure and sequence of disciplines inside the units contribute to the formation of students' ability to communicate in the context of intercultural cooperation and multicultural tolerance.

Methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language

The unit provides students with knowledge concerning the structure and technological support of lessons and extracurricular activities in the sphere of Russian as a foreign language. This unit also describes methods and techniques of modern educational technologies.
